Originally a Bengali, Bhatia was born in Orissa, India but moved to Delhi when she was a month old. As a child, she was trained in classical Odissi dancing but has admitted that she finds western dance forms difficult
Educational Qualifications-Graduate in English Literature, Delhi University Languages known-English, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Oriya and elementary knowledge of Urdu and Russian
