Kausar Mohammed
Kausar Mohammed is a South Asian writer, actress, and comedian. She wrote and stars in the holiday romcom "The Syed Family Xmas Eve Game Night" (directed by Fawzia Mirza), which world premiered TIFF 2021, and is being developed for TV. She plays Soraya Abbas, techspert, on the new CW show 4400. Kausar also plays series lead in Paul Feig's dramedy, "East of La Brea" and voices Yaz, one of the fan favorite lead characters, on Dreamworks and Amblin's hit show "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous". Her standout performance as Rakhi in "Coffee Shop Names", leading alongside Danny Pudi and Karan Soni, is on HBO Max. Kausar is a writer/performer in the distinguished all-South Asian sketch comedy troupe, The Get Brown, who is developing various TV/Film projects and ran two seasons of continuously sold-out shows at Upright Citizen's Brigade LA. She was also a featured talent in the ViacomCBS Diversity Showcase 2021. She has worked alongside Taraji P. Henson on the film "What Men Want" (Paramount), Issa Rae on the film "Little" (Universal), and has additional credits on shows such as "Silicon Valley" (HBO), "Black Lightning" (CW), and "Carol's Second Act" (CBS). Kausar also is the co-founder of SHIFT, racial and gender equity consulting group created by women of color.
